Polished hardwoods have a long-lasting depth of colour and character of finish that cannot be matched in any other way.
They are as apparent in hand-carved rocking horses as in the finest of antique furniture.
Peverel rocking horses were originally produced only in selected Brazilian mahogany.
In addition they are now also made to order in a range of other hardwoods such as American White Ash, Black Walnut and Sycamore.
The natural grain in every Peverel rocking horse in polished hardwood gives it its own unique character, enhanced by the skill of the English craftsmen who carve it and finish it.
Each horse has all the attention to detail to make it a quality collector's item and family heirloom, as well as giving endless delight to children.
